描述 产品目录编号 100567 描述 LUGOL'S SOLUTION STABILIZED WITH PVP FOR 概述 Lugol’s solution stabilized with PVP is used in Bacteriology, for example, for the staining of Gram bacteria. It contains a complex of Iodine-Polyvinylpyrrolidon (PVP) and no free iodine, which stabilizes the solution and reduces the evaporation of iodine. During Gram-staining, the iodine from the Lugol’s solution and crystal violet form a stable complex that will not be released by decolorisation. Thus, Gram-positive bacteria will appear dark blue when analyzed microscopically, wheras Gram-negative bacteria can be counterstained e.g. orange with safranin.
